Dr. John Birchall will present an update to the successful Personal Injury course he ran last year. Live from the Oxford & Cambridge Club on Wednesday 25th November he will pick up from the House of Lords decisions in Rothwell and in Hoare, both of which contributed to ushering a somewhat changed regime for the interpretation of the Limitation Act 1980 in personal injury cases where a Claimant potentially faces a limitation defence. He will also cover the ex turpi causa rule, and the definition of what counts as work equipment under the Work Equipment Regulations, which impose liability on employers for equipment for use at work which is dangerous.
